The AE1 Antigermix® uses patented UV-C technology to provide High-Level Disinfection (HLD) of endocavity ultrasound probes, transoesophageal ultrasound probes, and ENT endoscopes without operating channels.

​

The AE1 cycle is automated, reducing the risk of human error, as well as enhancing the reliability and safety of the HLD process through the management of key parameters (dose, temperature, time, etc). A complete cycle is roughly three minutes, and there is no waiting time before the next examination.

 

UV-C penetrates the membrane of microorganisms, halting their proliferation by destroying the bonds of DNA, RNA, and cellular proteins.
